Sandy Khaund
Managing Partner
Serial software entrepreneur/ intrapreneur with over 25 years of experience across managerial and executive positions at five Fortune 500 companies (including Intel, Microsoft, and Warner Media) and served as a C-Level executive at three acquired startups (Piczo, InStadium, and UPGRADED). Sandy was the founder of UPGRADED, a blockchain ticketing company that was acquired by Ticketmaster/Live Nation in 2018.
Currently, in addition to Mindspring Capital, Sandy is Founder and CEO of Credenza (an early-stage Web3 startup), the chairman of Rock Daisy (a top sports science platform used by several major sports franchises and a growing number of high schools and colleges), and the Managing Director of Macrodemic (a sports tech incubator & think tank).
Additionally, Sandy :
- was a visiting professor at Georgia State University
- is a co-author of 21st Century Sports: How Technologies Will Change Sports in the Digital Age
- co-founded the Weiji Foundry (a Covid-inspired college student startup accelerator),
- created Inventors University (a local “school” where we teach young girls to build a Raspberry Pi computer and write code for it).
Sandy sits on the boards of two non-profits (OKB Hope Foundation, Upshot) and is an angel investor in nine startups.
Sandy has a BA from Ithaca College, a BSEE and M.Eng from Cornell University, and an MBA from Wharton.
